Privacy Policy

To appraise your home, we collect some personal information and photos of your property. We use it only to do your appraisal and run our service, we protect it, and we never sell it. You can contact us any time about your information.

Contact details: your name, email, and phone number.

Payment method: when you order, your card is saved securely through our payment processor (Stripe). Your full card number never touches our servers.

Your property: the photos you take, the floor-plan scan, any documents you upload (such as permits or surveys), and details you confirm or correct about your home.

Basic usage data: standard information your browser sends, used to keep the site working and secure.

We use your information to complete your appraisal, to send you your report and updates, to take payment when your report is delivered, to provide support, and to meet our professional and legal obligations.

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us run the service, and only as needed to do their part:

Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages), Supabase (secure database and file storage), Smarty (address lookup), and CubiCasa (floor-plan scanning).

We also share your finished report with the people you tell us to — for example, your attorney. And we may disclose information if the law requires it.

When you place an order, you can agree to receive text messages from Precision Valuations about that order — a one-time secure link to submit your photos and floor plan, and updates about your appraisal. You agree to receive these texts by checking the consent box where you enter your phone number at checkout. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We use your mobile number only to service your appraisal order. We do not send marketing texts, and we will not share your mobile number or your SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. (Twilio, our messaging provider, processes the messages on our behalf and does not use your number for its own marketing.)

Your photos and documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage. We use encryption in transit, role-based access rules, and we limit who can see your files. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect your information.

Appraisers are required by USPAP (the professional standards we follow) to keep the appraisal workfile — including the photos and data behind your report — for at least five years. We keep your information for at least that long, and only as long as needed for our legitimate business and legal purposes.

After that period, you can ask us to delete your information, and we will honor your request unless we are still legally required to keep it. You can ask about deletion at any time — see “Your choices” below.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor deletion requests except where we are required to keep records (such as the USPAP workfile retention above). Just email us.

Our service is for homeowners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date below.
